Checking In

Hello lovelies! I wasn't around last week for a GFV post because quite honestly I have my high and low moments. These are odd times for all of us and sometimes it is very hard to find balance. This isn't really a blog post I just thought I'd stop by and do a little check in. I've received so many messages over Instagram about my "Dear Vintage Community" letter that I posted on here last month. Most of those messages have been engaging and reflective. I realize that I do want this blog to reflect what that letter meant to me. I want to utilize this platform to discuss not just Outfits of the Day or classic cinema, but to also share and reflect on black history in relation to all of this "vintage" that we love so much. I want to explore and harp on the importance of acknowledging our past. I continue to see very problematic and distasteful conversations on Instagram that continues to fuel my desire to begin creating content leaning towards those topics.

Sometimes it can be hard to express oneself completely and concisely in a small direct message on Instagram. The subject can be as simple as "Check In" and I will get back to you as soon as I can! I am struggling with you all. These are strange times of unrest and uncertainty and just know that I am here if you want to talk!
