Nightgown of the Day

Good morning lovelies! Do you have a morning routine? For the past month my mornings have been a blur of rushed eyeliner application, half empty cups of Keurig coffee, and regrets of hitting the snooze button repeatedly. That's the theatre life for you! But I have a little break in between gigs and all I want to do is spend that time lounging around in pretty nightgowns, barefoot. Records, Netflix binge watching (Call the Midwife Season 7 is up!), tidying my apartment, cooking, morning cups of thoughtfully prepared coffee.

This post isn't the usual Outfit of the Day but more of a Nightgown of the Day. I was told that I'm the "Princess of Peignoirs" and I take my duties quite seriously!

This nightgown is a vintage satin baby blue slip with a rounded neckline and thin straps. I absolutely adore the lace detail at the hem and neck. I got this little slip from one of my favorite vintage shops Future No Future Vintage (I have a whole post about them here)! It is on the shorter sides of slips so it isn't practical for my standard knee length dresses. However it is divine to sleep in because of the softness of the fabric.

Whilst lounging around my apartment, I like to enjoy a vintage magazine and a spot of medium roast coffee or lemon tea. Remember: it is always important to take some time for yourself during your busy week! A little relaxation goes a LONG way and helps to recharge your battery. I have to constantly remind myself this!

Hope you all enjoyed this little post and I will see you soon!
