Is It 1968?
Spring has officially began so this will be my last winter look post for awhile! I am more than ready for warm weather. I love driving around town with the top down on my convertible, feeling the wind blow. Sunshine is the perfect time for heart sunglasses, picnics near a lake, cool wine spritzers, and Ella Fitzgerald on repeat. I have to admit though, I will miss the fabulous layering of a cute outfit with a sweater and the perfect coat. The right layers really gives a look dimension!
I missed wearing dresses and decide to brave the weather and wear this 1960s long-sleeved cotton-poly blend printed dress with black stockings. I paired it with these deep tan suede ankle boots that I bought from Payless and this white 1950s/60s beaded handbag with gold hardware. I accessorized with a 1960s yellow, orange, and white patterned scarf to add a pop of color. The white 1960s-esque hoops from Designer Consignor give it a mod nod. Last but certainly not least, this 1950s dark brown double-breasted faux fur mink coat is my absolute favorite! It was gifted to me from my dear cousin and she purchased this from Flower Child.
The lining to the coat is a gorgeous peach colored lining with initials "R.G.I." monogrammed on the inside. The gorgeous white tag in elegant brown font says: "Exclusive ALEUTIAN. Styled by: dubrowsky and Joseph. Clean by fur coat methods. Do not brush, press, or steam." Details like these are my favorite part about wearing vintage. This was a coat that was lightly worn and clearly loved by its owner.
I hope you all enjoyed this little Outfit of the Day post and I will see you all next Friday!
